At the Council meeting on February 12, 2025, a motion was passed to approve funding that will help subsidize a much-needed kitchen renovation at Interval House Hamilton, a vital resource for women in need. This funding is an important step in supporting the shelter’s ongoing efforts to provide a safe and welcoming environment for women fleeing violence and hardship. Director Sue Taylor, whose leadership has been instrumental in shaping the mission of Interval House, continues to do incredible work in advocating for and supporting the women who seek refuge there. This renovation will ensure that the facility remains a place of healing and empowerment, furthering the excellent care and support Sue and her team provide to those who need it most.
