The Hamilton Paramedic Service has once again been awarded a very generous grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada. Over the years the foundation has provided funding for lifesaving equipment, educations opportunities to first-responders and public safety organizations.

In 2020, HPS received over $20,000 to establish Hamilton’s first ever Paramedic Bike Unit which has since been successful in aiding people in distress in hard-to-reach places such as large gatherings events. This year Fire House Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada has DOUBLED the funds being awarded to $55,170! This grant is going towards a very exciting new means of emergency care for our city which is an emergency medical response ATV. This ATV will have the ability to not only provide on-site medical care but can remove the persons in need from the crowd, and sooner get them to an ambulance.

On January 31, 2023 Hamilton Firehouse Subs restaurant owners will present the cheque to the Hamilton Paramedic Chief. Our city is very fortunate to have the support of the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada in our corner helping our hardworking paramedics and emergency response teams keep our community safe.
