Facility Closure Notice – Sir Allan MacNab Recreation Centre
Due to an unexpected boiler failure and the need for a full boiler and valve replacement, Sir Allan MacNab Rec Centre will be closed from December 12, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
Recent freezing temperatures have increased the risk to the building, is unable to maintain safe heating levels while operating on a single boiler. This proactive closure will help protect the facility and ensure repairs are completed safely.
Programming will be available at nearby facilities including Ancaster Aquatic Centre, Ancaster Rotary Centre, Hill Park Recreation Centre and Westmount Recreation Centre during this period of closure.
The Ward 14 Councillor Sponsored Open Swim will be postponed till the facility re-opens.
