Due to the cybersecurity incident impacting the City of Hamilton which disabled some of our IT systems, pre-authorized property tax payment withdrawals were put on hold to ensure the security of financial information and the accuracy of billing.

We are now able to resume pre-authorized withdrawals for the majority of taxpayers enrolled in pre-authorized payment plans, with revisions to some of the scheduled withdrawal dates.

A notice has been sent out to impacted property owners. Please refer to the City’s Property Tax FAQ which can be found at hamilton.ca/cyberincident for more information.
