Chedoke Arena – Secondary Ward Office for Ward 14
WHEREAS, the Ward 14 Councillor is looking to provide residents with an
alternative, satellite Constituency office location for members of the public to meet
with the Councillor and Ward 14 staff;
WHEREAS, the Ward 14 Councillor and staff would like to be in closer
proximity to their elderly residents and those with mobility challenges; and,
WHEREAS, the Chedoke Arena location is situated on a bus route, is more
accommodating for those without vehicles, as well as providing free parking for those
who do have vehicles;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
(a) That staff be authorized and directed to repurpose a vacant office at Chedoke
Arena for use as a Satellite constituency office for Ward 14, for use during
regular business hours; and,
(b) That staff be directed to report back to the General Issues Committee with a
policy and/or guideline for Secondary Ward Offices.
